MEET DANA - THE ARTIST BEHIND METALWOOD GARAGE CUSTOM METAL ART
Dana sees potential where others see scrap. What looks like a broken chain, rusty gears, or bent wheels to most people are treasures waiting to be transformed in her hands.
Her Story
Dana's passion goes beyond just metalwork. She rescues old dressers and gives them new life with paint and unique decals. Automotive and motorcycle parts become stunning tables. Barn wood and fence panels are transformed into shelves and mounting boards for her art.
But Dana wanted more than just beautiful pieces—she wanted functional art. When she created her first metal guitars, she added clocks. But that wasn't enough. She dreamed of making a metal guitar that could actually play music.
In October 2020, Dana visited Dan Bowman at Bowman Guitars with one of her metal guitar art pieces. She asked if he'd collaborate to bring her vision to life. Two weeks later, they created the first playable Metalwood Guitar—unlike anything else in the world.
Her Philosophy
"I don't really consider myself a welder. I am an artist, and my welder is the glue that holds my creations together."
Dana creates functional art with a sprinkle of beauty, turning forgotten automotive and motorcycle treasures into pieces that bring joy to everyday life.
